Hi Family-- this is for you! Click HERE for Zach's birthday wish list. We obviously don't expect to get even a third of what is listed, but I figured this would give you all a good idea of the things Zach would like. A short-hand version: Toy tools, Handy Manny (although we already got him the picnic set!), sandboxes, play house or climber, play kitchen (that is neutral colored so that it's not too girly), touch-n-feel books, Duplo-type blocks or wooden alphabet blocks, Disney Cars stuff (already has the movie), ride-on or ride-in toys (he does already have a wagon), kiddie sports stuff, anything with lights or buttons, LeapFrog "Puppy Pal Scout" accessories (he has the puppy pal, the cell phone, and the letter keyboard already). We're pretty set on stuffed animals and toy laptops. There are a couple toys that I put on the list that he has played with specifically at friends/cousins' houses and loved, like the Jungle toy with the monkey and the toucan and tree (I don't remember what it's called). Also, there are a lot of the Rockabye Baby! albums on the list, pretty much anything that is Mommy and Daddy's music taste is fine, he already has the Metallica and Pink Floyd versions. If you happen to find Imagination Movers music CDs, he loves that too.
If you want to buy him clothes: shirts are usually good in 12-18 month sizes (12 months for wearing now, 18 months for fall styles). Pants are more of a challenge... he's skinny. I mean REALLY skinny. He's actually wearing some of his shorts from *last summer*, that's how skinny he is. However, he's average height for his age, so length is an issue. For shorts, he can really wear as small as 3 month size, and the biggest he can wear (without a cloth diaper) is a 9 month size, and those still tend to be loose. 12 month sizes fit but are really loose, and only if he's wearing a cloth diaper otherwise they fall off. He fits really well in the Old Navy 3-6 month size, and with a cloth diaper in Old Navy 6-12 month size. He could also use new socks because he does have kind of big feet. He's pretty good on shoes right now too, unless you want to buy him some new Converse Chuck Taylors, in that case he would probably do best with a size 4. Mommy is also a big fan of the Amy Coe line at Babies R' Us.
Any questions feel free to ask Mommy or Daddy :)
Oh, and we'd also REALLY like a Family membership to the Columbus Zoo... HINT HINT! :)
Benji is getting the ame shoes for his birthday! (The chucks)
