It's our own little glow worm. Zach's jaundice seems to have gotten a bit worse. We are hoping that it has peaked since he is still within the window for Jaundice issues. At the hospital, his billi tests were coming back low to intermediate, within the acceptable range (if I remember right, anywhere between 5-13 was ok at this point). Zach's billi test was 19.5 today.
The blue glow around him is called a Wallaby. It's a fiber optic wrap that goes around his chest and glows. It's supposed to break down the bilirubin, which is a by-product of his body breaking down red blood cells. He has to wear the wallaby until tomorrow at least, they are going to do another billi test around 1 pm (the Children's home health care is coming by to help out, which is nice).
On a lighter note, yes, in the photo above, Zach is holding his own bottle up.
