Hanging out with Friends

My best friend Cortney came down from Calgary for a quick visit this past week. It was awesome that she got to meet Zach while he was still little, and we had fun introducing Zach and her son Caleb, who is six months older. I was surprised when comparing the two... Caleb looked so little to me when she was here in May, but now looks like such a big boy when compared to my little dude. I'm excited that in the next couple months Zach will grow big like that. By this time next year they will be running around together. I can't wait! It's hard for me to believe that this coming weekend Zach will be 8 weeks old... two months! Mom was right when she said time goes even faster when you have kids. Didn't summer just start???

Anyway, here are some pictures from our adventures with two babies. Adventure is the only word for what our car ride turned into on the way back to Cort's parents' house in rush hour traffic, with construction, with two boys that think they have to scream louder than the other. :) We both decided that people with two kids close in age are either really brave or downright crazy.

This first one is of the two boys hanging out at the Target Starbucks while mommies had some Frappucinos. Caleb is holding a wooden spoon, in case you were wondering. He loves making people laugh, and smacking himself over the head with this spoon was his favorite way of doing that. I am sure Cort has a major class clown in her future!

Caleb doesn't have Target up in Canada, so I took a picture with the checkout lanes behind him to document his first trip to one of his mommy's favorite stores here in the states.

Finally, here is a picture of us girls holding our little guys. Too bad Zach doesn't smile for the camera yet. He looks just thrilled that we are subjecting him to a photo op.
